Empower Toward Healing and Self-Sufficiency
Covered exists to help survivors forever break the bondage of trafficking. We do this through our trauma informed, empowerment based, and survivor informed program that addresses the four core issues using evidence-based practices.
Housing
We begin our process by assessing the needs of the survivor. Stabilization can’t happen without a safe place to stay. We are providing that space where they can begin to heal, while having their basic needs met.
Education
Each survivor learns valuable life skills through our 10-week core life skills curriculum. They will also work with an Education and Career Coordinator who will help them discover what skills are needed and what dreams they may have for their future. This may be a GED, trade school or certifications needed for that path.
Counseling
Our Clinical Director provides individual and group counseling as well as overseeing the entire care team. They will collaborate and together with the survivor, will put together the best possible plan for the survivors healing and goals.
Community
We introduce survivors to a healthy community of other survivors and mentors where they will continue life skills classes. Mentors will help survivors also build a healthy community outside of Covered as they prepare to reintegrate into society.
When you give, lives are changed
When you support Covered, you are taking a stand against trafficking and changing lives forever.
The Covered program starts with stabilization and a safe place to stay. Providing basic needs, addiction help and much needed counseling. Your donation helps survivors to transition into a life where they can experience hope, and healing through case management, mentoring, and life skills. Helping survivors escape the cycle of trauma, gain self-sufficiency, and break the bondage of trafficking.
Covered is excited to announce that we have earned both the Candid Gold Seal of Transparency for 2023 and a 2023 Great Nonprofits Top-Rated seal.
