 Empower Toward Healing and Self-Sufficiency

Covered exists to help survivors forever break the bondage of trafficking.  We do this through our trauma informed, empowerment based, and survivor informed program that addresses the four core issues using evidence-based practices.

Housing

We begin our process by assessing the needs of the survivor. Stabilization can’t happen without a safe place to stay. We are providing that space where they can begin to heal, while having their basic needs met.

Education

Each survivor learns valuable life skills through our 10-week core life skills curriculum.  They will also work with an Education and Career Coordinator who will help them discover what skills are needed and what dreams they may have for their future. This may be a GED, trade school or certifications needed for that path.

Counseling

Our Clinical Director provides individual and group counseling as well as overseeing the entire care team. They will collaborate and together with the survivor, will put together the best possible plan for the survivors healing and goals.

Community

We  introduce survivors to a healthy community of other survivors and mentors where they will continue life skills classes.  Mentors will help survivors also build a healthy community outside of Covered as they prepare to reintegrate into society.

Our Fiscal Year 2022/2023 Impact Report is here. This work could not have been accomplished without the amazing team of staff, volunteers and donors who all support this mission. Thank you for another great year!

I have never felt more cared for in my life. I am blown away by their willingness to go above and beyond to make sure that we are okay. It is so nice to not do this all alone.
