COVERED HOUSE DESCRIPTION
Covered House is an up to 2-year residential program for women ages 18 and up. The program offers evidence-based programing to support clients with a dual diagnosis that would benefit from a safe and stable environment to aid in long term recovery. The program is structured to provide each client with a multidisciplinary team, seeking to meet each client where she is and give support tailored to that client in a holistic approach that aids in whole person healing.
OUR STORY
Covered started in 2017 after our founder discovered that there are very few resources in Colorado for sex trafficking victims over the age of eighteen. A group of people wanting to make a difference got together and formed Covered. After receiving our 501c3 status as a nonprofit, we began to build our program and help survivors find hope and healing. Covered continues to grow and improve on the resources and care that we are providing for these brave women seeking a new life.
OUR IMPACT
Since 2017, Covered has helped 137 survivors to get them on their feet. Additionally, we have helped hundreds of survivors through our crisis coordination. We know there is much more to be done. In January of 2023 we opened our first residential home for trafficking survivors. This will allow us to further the work we are doing and make a bigger impact in the community and the amazing women in our program. We will continue to collaborate with vetted partner organizations, the court system, law enforcement, and select healthcare agencies on crisis cases.
Our impact is your impact. By supporting Covered you are taking a stand against trafficking and making a difference. We simply could not do this work without the many individuals and organizations that give generously to our mission. In our 2022 Impact Report we highlight some of the accomplishments from this past year and goals that we have moving forward. Helping survivors one life at a time, finding healing, and working toward self-sufficiency.
OUR TEAM
Covered started with a group of volunteers willing to give time and commit to our mission. Volunteers are crucial to our success as an organization then and now. We have had over 175 individuals volunteer with Covered since 2017 and look forward to the many more who will join us. Now, the staff at Covered continues to build this incredible team. We are so grateful for all of them.
