Our program meets survivors where they are. Through a trauma informed, survivor informed, and empowerment-based program. We utilize evidence-based practices, we empower and honor every survivor toward a life of healing and self-sufficiency. We provide advocacy through case management, mentoring, life skills, and coaching to navigate their finances, employment, and relational skills.

Crisis

The crisis stage is our first connection with the survivor.  A survivor in crisis could be someone who has recently escaped trafficking or someone who has been struggling for years to heal and get back on track. Case managers and counselors will assess each survivor’s situation and will help the survivor with their next steps.

Stabilization

Without stabilization survivors have little hope of overcoming the trauma and abuse they have endured. Stabilization lasts an average of 6-8 months and survivors in the program will reside in Covered House, where they will have a safe place to heal.

Transitional Living

Here is where the survivor begins to take steps toward rebuilding their life.   Self-Sufficiency and goal setting are the focus.

Independent Living

Once survivors become self-sufficient, we continue to provide guidance as needed and collaborate with community partners. We hope the survivors will take the skills they have learned in our program and apply them to their future.

The healing journey is messy but the end result is going to be beautiful. Tears happen frequently but they are releasing all the trauma and feelings I wasn’t allowed to feel. I truly feel supported by Covered. Without their help, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
