RESIDENTIAL MILIEU STAFF

Position Type: Part-Time, Saturday & Sunday 8am-4pm

Starting Pay: $21.00/Hour

Position Overview

This is an in-person, part-time residential milieu position working with an all-female clientele base of survivors of trafficking. The employment location is in the SE Denver Metro area. Due to the nature of the work, the address will remain undisclosed until the date of hire. 

Time Requirements:

This position will be completed in 16-20 hours per week. Saturday & Sunday (8 hour shifts) and 1-2 hours a week for clinical staff supervision (virtually)

It is crucial that you can fulfill your scheduled days and hours.

Duties:

 ●        Create and maintain a safe, comfortable, and client-focused treatment environment

●        Monitor and document behavior and physical condition of residential clients

●        Document all significant interactions with each client

●        Monitor the facility to ensure it is maintained in a neat and orderly manner and that all outside doors remain secured and that security procedures are followed

●        Assist with planning, conducting, and supervising client activities

●        Administer medication as needed

●        Schedule and monitor client UAs and BAs as needed

●        Co-facilitate psychoeducation and/or process groups

●        Promote and participate in a positive, supportive, cooperative team environment

●        Attend and participate in staff meetings, training classes and supervision

●        Adhere to company policies and procedures, Covered Colorado code of ethics, as well as state and federal law

●        Light duties to maintain the upkeep of the residential house

●        Shovel or clear snow from stairs and walkways, apply salt as needed

 

Qualifications:

 ●        Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude

●        Preferred field of study psychology, social work, or other related human services. Degree or bachelor’s degree in any of those areas or for an unrelated field with at least one year of behavioral health experience.

●        Valid Colorado Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation

●        Current Colorado QMAP or eligibility for QMAP certification

●        First Aid/CPR certification completion or willing to take this class

●        Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

●        Ability to take direction and make sound decisions

●        Ability to always maintain appropriate professional and personal boundaries

●        Ability to assess crisis situations, apply critical thinking, and intervene appropriately

●        Ability to apply positive engagement, motivation, and leadership skills in a culturally appropriate manner, working with adults from diverse and challenging backgrounds.

●        Basic understanding and ability to work with differing behavioral health presentations

●        Knowledge of community resources

●        Verbal and written communication skills, including detail-minded record-keeping and excellent computer skills

●        Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

●        Ability to hear and process critical feedback, as well as provide it to others

●        Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments

●        Complete a criminal background check if offered a position

  

Documentation:

 ●        Accurate documentation and record services received by clients

●        Collect and maintain accurate data on an ongoing basis

●        Document relevant and significant events that occur during the shift in the Communication Log

●        Maintain clear and effective communication with other staff regarding clients

●        Work to ensure confidentiality

 

Other Requirements

 ●        Deep understanding of and passion for assisting survivors of trafficking and their ability to heal and become self-sufficient.

●        Compassion for the clients that Covered serves and a connection to the mission

●        Proof of automobile insurance and clean background check required

●        Knowledge of Covered policies and procedures and ability to enforce them

●        Professional rapport with the client population while maintaining appropriate boundaries

●        Demonstrated ability to constructively work with persons in crisis

 

 Work Environment

 ●        This job operates in a residential home as well as a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, desktop computers and telephones.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to sit and/or stand for sustained periods of time; lift, push, pull items in excess of 30 lbs; walk and reach with hands and arms.
