• When a survivor of trafficking reaches out for help, that first moment is a flicker of light in the darkness.

That light only grows if there’s a safe place waiting.

At Covered, every space and every person a survivor encounters becomes a point of light and hope:

    • The intake call — a staff member answers, offering compassion and safety in her voice. A light of hope.

    • The doorway of the safe house — a place where she’s welcomed without judgment. A light of relief.

    • The bedroom where she finally sleeps safely — this may be the first night she has slept safely in years. A light of safety.

    • The kitchen table — where a warm meal is shared, where she learns that she is worthy of care. A light of dignity.

    • The counseling room — where healing begins, where trauma is met with patience, and tools for recovery are given. A light of hope.

    • The Care and Education Center for life skills and job training — where she learns independence and begins to see a brighter future. A light of possibility.

Each of these lights only stays on because of you. Without your support, these spaces—and the hope they carry—risk going dark.

When you give today, you help Light the Way for survivors of trafficking in Colorado. You help keep the safe houses open, the meals warm, the counseling available, and the hope alive.

Every gift made by December 9th helps unlock $1 million in bonus funds from the Colorado Gives Foundation—multiplying your impact.

Without your gift, the lights that survivors rely on could go out. But with you, every step in her journey—from the first phone call to a future of independence—shines bright.

Light the Way with us this season.

  • From November 1 through December 9, every donation you make is boosted by a $1M+ Incentive Fund, thanks to Colorado Gives Foundation and FirstBank. The more we raise, the bigger our share. Plus, if you set up a new monthly recurring donation, Colorado Gives Foundation will match your first monthly gift up to $100 (and up to $250K total across all organizations)! It’s an exciting way for you to double the impact of your continued support.

  • Don't forget to double check if your company will match your donation to Covered!

Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations such as Covered. It’s an easy way to double your contribution to us! Some employers also have corporate grants available for employees to submit on the charity’s behalf. Ask your HR department if your employer participates in either of these.

Tonight, somewhere nearby, a survivor is deciding whether she can leave.

If the lights in our safe house go out, she has no safe place to land.

That’s the cost of doing nothing.

Will you help us Light the Way?

  • Colorado Gives Day is the biggest giving event in the state, and it’s an opportunity for you to join other Coloradans who are coming together to make a meaningful impact. This year, we need your support more than ever, your gift can help keep the lights on at our safe houses for trafficking survivors who may not otherwise have a safe place to go. Without your support, the programs that have helped several trafficking survivors in Colorado could vanish, and so do the safe spaces that they count on. With your help, they have a dedicated team, a safe place to sleep at night, a warm meal, counseling, and the tools to become independent.
